| On such technical contracts you need to err on the cautious side. The software needs to be working correctly. It's complicated probably more complicated than those at the top and not at the sharp end understand. Effing executive pressure and decisions and cost cutting can be dangerous. Grenfell should have taught us that. Safety checks need to be carried out - most of us would prefer that it progressed steadily and safely. Party political ping-pong and pressure is abhorrent. That doesn't mean that delays aren't disappointing. |
