The BBC are reporting that a source involved in the project has told them that Crossrail could be delayed until Spring 2021. They are apparently doing some 'dynamic testing' at the moment and that is taking more time than expected. The medium likelihood is that it will open some time next year but the later date remains a possibility. Combined with the closure of Hammersmith Bridge this increases the suspicion that our transport infrastructure is falling apart and the people who run it are not very competent. |
