| Unfortunately it is a nationwide trend. We can't all have cars. There isn't space. Just look at all the tower blocks that are being built without parking or enough parking. People don't like change but we are going to have to change. We also have a lot of air pollution with the Government lobbying the EU to reduce the levels that they stipulate must not be exceeded; car companies cheating in order to market cars discharging excessive levels. We already have car share schemes. We also need to make sure that we have good public transport going to to where most people need to go to. Not everybody is going to be able to get on their bike. In the United States there are a lot of problems because people move around and don't get the official letters so can't pay the fines in time and then they increase. I guess this is now happening here. |
