Simon, you don't know I am a staunch supporter of Labour because I am not. If you search through this forum, you will find plenty of occasions when I am critical of them. Labour's decision to agree in principle to a three year lease on the park was done transparently and they have laid out their reasons for doing it. You may disagree with it, and I fully understand why many do but they haven't been dishonest. There may be commercially sensitive aspects to this that we are not being told but not revealing this is not in anyway peddling falsehood. Your argument about not everyone being interested in the theatre misses the bigger point here. The centre of Ealing appears to be failing. Filmworks and Dickens Yard have tumbleweed rolling through them and the Broadway shopping centre is much less busy than it used to be with a poorer range of shops. Something needs to be done. |
