| >All a vanity, pointless, money wasting, car hating exercise. (Peter Y.) You can skip the pedestrian red lights in West Ealing Broadway if you turn left into Leeland Terrace, follow the road round into Coldershaw Road and go fast enough to turn back into Uxbridge Road before the lights change green. You can only do this if you speed and many drivers do. The one-way system and speed bumps are purposely designed to stop all of this rat-running and speeding nonsense. If more people cycle on Leeland Terrace, as a result of the changes, then it perfectly proves that if you make roads safer you attract cycling. |
