Hi Raymond, I included links to where I got my information from, but if I have missed any out, please let me know. Which information did you want a source for? I have them written down somewhere. Unfortunately the FOI is screenshot and I don’t know how to attach them to this forum. Is there a way to do it? I could send it to you if you like. Let me know. I have lived in Ealing most of my life. In fact I lived closer to Gunnersbury Park in 1991 and remember the tragic accident. Two kids fell through the ice. I think it was around February time as I recall. A few people have mentioned having open water in the park, and I’m interested to know if people are nervous about other public spaces with open water. I gave the example in another thread of Chiswick House and Grounds. I remember the pond being fenced off all around, but part of the fence was removed near Chiswick House, which I found surprising as it’s near a slope. Also, there is a popular playground in Northala Fields next to the lake. I would very much like to know where you got all of your information from. It sounds like you’ve done a lot of thorough research. I’m particularly interested in the trees felled with no evidence of disease or decay, as I am only aware of decayed trees being cut down. As I said at the top of my post, I am only one person, and so I invite everyone here to add any sources they have, so that a comprehensive database can be formed. Cheers! |
