Hi Colin. I’m under no illusions that only one house has a misconnected pipe. The problem is well-documented and gaining more prominence in the news. https://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&page=eariverbrent009.htm https://www.londoncentric.media/p/revealed-the-london-flats-pushing I dread to think how it would carry on if incidents such as the Lammas Park one didn’t lead to investigations and action. What do you think can be done to deal with this problem? Regarding the risk of open water. Of course no-one wants an accident. Do you think the abundance of open-water areas in parks and public spaces (Walpole, Gunnersbury, Long Wood, Northala, Chiswick, to name just the local ones) should be reviewed? I remember noticing when the fence in Chiswick House & Grounds was removed - particularly as a slope led down to the pond there. Maybe the ‘open and natural’ style of landscaping has gone too far? What do you think? Finally, you don't need to refer to me in the third person, Colin. Answering my comments directly is fine :) |
