Dominic takes himself very seriously so referring to him in the third person is appropriate. He doesn’t answer questions or debate, just states that his view is the only correct one. The open water in the parks he refers to are different to the Lammas ditches. They are not adjacent to popular play areas with lots of small children running about. The safety proposals are inadequate. RoSPA deemed the scheme as moderately dangerous, which is actually quite a strong comment with a reasonable risk of an accident. Lammas has never flooded in the true sense of the word. It’s not on the Mississippi. Large puddles after rainfall is usual, particularly in the UK, and they disappear quickly. Ironically one of the pushes from eco warriors is to increase the amount of grass in gardens for this very reason. Or should we all be digging big drainage ponds in our back yards instead Dominic? |
