The display of ignorance is incredible. If you have lived locally for a long time or take the trouble to speak with those around Lammas park who have, you will be aware of the complete ecological disaster that has been created by not just this scheme but a previous one. This time in just a matter of months, Wiping out the last colonies of Hedghogs which vanished last august, A huge increase in Rats, A light stench of sewage for the last 10 months E. coli and Toxoplasma found in soil and water samples. long buried contaminated soils now duped as topsoil, Fissures in the ground up to 5 ft deep Pools of stagnant water well away from the ponds Sharp stones and rubble now covers a safe playing and recreational surface. Which took over a decade to make good after the second world war Healthy mature trees felled, some dating back to before the park existed A stack of misleading info that does not relate to history or fact. It is a park and if you do a bit of research on fact rather than opinions of those who profit from the gullible, you will find why a park was built when all around was orchrds and meadows. Public Health And a place that's safe and good for all users of all backgrounds. |
