Simon! The quote is in response to the question about where the untruth was. Shakespeare is highly appropriate as The Rose and Crown was of course the place that Fuller's Shakespearian Theatre company started that tours Shakespeare's better plays in Fullers pubs, know as "Permanently Bard" I thought that were the originators and maestros of this enduring and respected endeavour Tom Tucker and Phil Smith following the progress of their old demesne might get a chuckle out of the contextual allegory of the Shakespearian quote. Sadly the Rose and Crown hosts this theatrical jewel reluctantly and with poor grace at the behest of corporate as it eschews any sort of organised or group pub entertainment event or the sort that one would expect. They were even too mean to show the Rugby. |
