There are other parks that charge for parking and have done so for some time, Boston Manor being a case in point. I imagine part of the rationale will be the inevitable ‘modal shift’ idea to get people out of their cars. Of course, that then frees up space for users of the commercial operation to park, and pay for the privilege.
