| Pavements ARE being damaged by motor traffic. Everybody - delivery vans, scaffolding lorries and cars now seem to park by driving up onto the pavement and off again - because there are too many other vehicles parked and they are too lazy and impatient to park properly. I have wondered about the quality of the paving stones - whether it has differed over the years. Make sure you report dangerously cracked and rocking stones as I have learnt from social media experience that in a day an awful lot of people can fall in the same place. There is a wait of quite a few months for physio on the NHS and if you are working in the gig economy that is really bad news. It also affects the rest of your family as they will have to cover your caring responsibilities as well as helping you. |
