Are you surprised Nigel. There's a motto about doorsteps and what you don't do on them. Southall keeps its library too, and indeed has the reference section there as well, even though the vast majority of Ealing residents probably don't even know how to get to Southall, let alone visit it. There is so much wrong with how this council operates and the spin they put on everything it makes me sick. I'm no Tory - and I think they have screwed this country over wonderfully with Brexit - but Labour in Ealing are running them a very close second with their lunatic policies. I'm surprised there's anyone left with a brain who thinks Julian and his chums are doing a good job! Even the last survey they carried out, at no little expense, showed that people were getting less and less satisfied with the things the Council has control over, such as refuse collection. Of course, all we are told is how many people are happy to live in Ealing! It's going to get worse before it gets better. And if Bell goes, there are some really worrying characters ready to step into the breach. Peter Mason, Mik Sabiers or Bassam Mahfouz anyone? |
