Spot on Stephanie. Small river two inches deep running across the whole width of the road. Zebra crossing barricaded off. One fire engine two ambulances and many buses fight the temporary lights and the river running down the road to get past the hole. Thought that the police were going to do something when a minivan of them drove up and parked a few yards up the road from it. Went into their local police substation a few doors up the road. They totally ignore the 45 foot delivery truck that pulled up a few yards up the road to them which started to unload stuff for the Pizza Hut between the police station and it. Thhree hours later it is all still a mess. police van still there. 3663 Foodservices truck still there with buses pulled in both sides of it trying to get by. Pointed out to driver of massive truck after second ambulance fights its way by that he is parked in a No Waiting Any Time zone with double yellow lines. The small 5ft six balding man with black rimmed glasses looks at police van also on No Waiting Any Time double yellow lines and says I dont care while shrugging shoulders. Fire engine comes and forces its way through against red temporary light and loads of cars blaring horns. Decide to ring health and safety at town hall. Number on website gives unobtainable tone. Worst saturday for my shop i know of. Can I sue town hall/police/water people/3663 delivery/pizza hut through my insurance company. Anyone now the answer. if anyone care the police van was a vw people waggon thing LM56 0TZ and the big truck was SK07 BHP. should be plenty on the police substation video cameras if anyone cares. the water is getting worse. |
