Day Two: the traffic lights are in place, the water still pours out of a half-dug hole, a wasted compression patch fitting costing hundreds lies in the mud around the hole unused, ambulances fight to get through the temporary traffic lights blocking two-thirds of the South Ealing Road outside Ealing Park Centre amid the continuous beeping of horns. Yes you have guessed it Thamas Water appears to have achieved nothing. The leak still leaks. Water runs down the road. Not a worker, supervisors or safety watchman in sight. Meanwhile local residents speculate not whether, but when the twelve inch water main will give way submerging the South Ealing Road in hundreds of thousands of gallons of water wondering if Thames Water are actually capable of turning the water off full stop. A van standing there yesterday said on its said that Thames Water cares so much about water that it takes 500,000 samples a year for its testing. Meanwhile tousands of gallons pours wasted out of control from an abandoned hole. Perhaps someone should call the police and the Ealing Council environmental health officers before hundreds of homes are flooded needlessly. |
