The MINUTES 30th September, 2010  of the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee show Councillor Mahfouz (transport cabinet member) rejected Councillor Brooks assertion that the proposed car park charges were an attack on the motorist. He said that he did not in any way consider the proposals to be ‘anti-car’ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/8075501/Motorists-abandon-cars-as-costs-rise.html shows that soaring motoring costs are driving down car usage. What does this Councillor know about the real world? About time he learnt how to do his homework.
