| CPZs shouldn't be subsidized at all. A specific CPZ is only for the benefit of the residents living within it to the general exclusion of others. That households who don't run cars should subsidize those that do is not exactly fair. It is not a god-given right to park on the highway so perhaps the solution is to scrap all on-street parking except in marked paying bays. Regarding carers: this would seem to be further misuse of the blue badge idea. |
