Arthur, I do think that your visitor permit idea is a good one I have to say and I will table it for discussion at the next meeting of the CPZ scrutiny panel on 10th November at 7pm - we will be looking at the complexities of permits and vouchers, etc. See you there if you fancy delving into the details of CPZ administration. At the last meeting we looked at finances of CPZs and considered a contribution ananlysis for CPZs. The £550K figure included income and expenses associated with PCNs. The figure not including PCNs was £994K. In justifying their massive hike in parking charges the council chose a made up number mid-way between these two figures (£750K) and ignored the fact that many of the changes they were proposing would reduce costs, ie simpler vouchers, pay by direct debit, etc. Very sneaky. |
