| Sara, I agree on too long a tenure can be as bad as too short a tenure. Sultan Taylor's predecessor stayed for about two years which is certainly too short a time. However staying in post for 10 years is probaly not desirable either. If five years is good enough for the life of a Parliament then maybe it's good enough for a local Police boss to be in power - and for that matter Ealing's healthcare and education bosses - whoever they might be. |
