| George I did recall his mention of a three year appointment. The way he said it was that this was the norm/ Met police policy. Knowing the geography means he hits the ground running at least. Perhaps I am a bit old fashioned but I have to agree with Eric that three years seems a short time to get up to speed and do an effective job after being parachuted in from somewhere else. |
