| I thought councillors were not allowed to get involved in individual appeal cases. As lead member for parking, he might have something to say when the process has run to completion, but not before. At any rate, that's the line that Hounslow councillors take, and I believe it's imposed by law. Will, the photo that you sent me of the "Permit holders only" sign will, I am sure, result in a successful appeal. Comparing it with Google Street View, it's evident that new lamp posts have been installed, in locations different to the old ones. Thus, when the sign was moved from the old post to the new one, it was in entirely the wrong location. As you are aware, the road markings also appear to be non-compliant, as indeed they are elsewhere in the zone, which adds to the confusion. |
