I'm sure many of you will have experienced difficulties when trying to cross at the Lido Junction (where the Uxbridge Rd crosses Northfield Ave and Drayton Green Road). Only one of the four crossings has pedestrain lights to ensure a safe crossing.  With the other three you have to look, make a judgement and go for it - watching out for cars jumping the red lights. The question of pedestrian safety at this junction was almost the very first issue raised when West Ealing Neighbours started up over three years ago.  Since then, despite a traffic consultancy report on West Ealing (the report vanished without trace), the risks to pedestrians still remain. WEN has this issue as the main item on the agenda for our public meeting on Thursday 25th June at St John's Church in Mattock Lane - 7.30pm start. We want to hear first hand people's experiences when trying to cross at the Lido Junction and what ideas people have to improve both pedestrian safety and traffic flow.  We know there are no easy answers but, equally, we can't just ignore the problems. So, three local residents groups have got together to research what might be done to improve this junction for everyone. We'd love to see you at our meeting or hear your ideas.  Please  tell us what you think can be done to make the Lido Junction safer.
