They are not chairtiable at all - though you do have to look at the small print to make sure. Very cross-making, I agree.

The charities I donate to - mostly small - don't seem to spend a disproportionate amount on admin. They do have to spend something on fund-raising though. But I don't give to anyone who employs chuggers - unless I forget to cancel the direct debit
