| This isn’t about councillors, Dominik. This is about getting responses from council staff, often for very routine enquiries. These people are employed to do jobs but it often seems to be an optional occupation, especially when working from home. Very easy to hide away and not respond to anything. Involving a ward councillor is a last resort and, as you say, responses are hit and miss. There have been numerous reports on this site and elsewhere of council staff not doing their jobs properly, or at all, and getting reprimanded by the Ombudsman. |
