| Oh dear, Dominik is trying to rewrite the narrative here. This project has been fully supported by the current member for climate action, Paul ‘Dismal’ Driscoll. His predecessor was Deirdre Costigan, now MP for Ealing Southall (no selection process, btw, just parachuted in after incumbent Virendra Sharma was pushed out at short notice prior to last year’s General Election.) She had no clue about anything, just being a party apparatchik and union rep. Like much Labour political class now freedom of thought is discouraged and actively sanctioned. Look at neighbouring Hounslow to see councillors hounded out for voicing mild criticism of policy. Driscoll has repeatedly lied and obfuscated over the Lammas scheme, which is par for the course for him. As for the support for the Suds, must comes from well outside Northfields, mainly because Ealing Wildlife Group got all its non London followers to comment. If Dom had an ounce of understanding of the process, he would know it’s not a vote or even an opinion poll. Plenty of planning applications are granted despite huge local opposition. Councillors, including Dismal, have reiterated this in the past. So best to be honest Dominik, or admit you really don’t know what you are talking about. I do hope you are more rigorous in your professional life. |
