Fully agree Gordon. Eletric vehicles are a transitionery technology and will be gone in a decade or so. They are a knee-jerk to climate change. Pointless to spend billions on infrastructure while synthetic fuels and new fuel tehnologies are developed. Public charging point are simple, and excuse me, a bloody rip-off. Off peak rates approaching £1.00 per kWH are not uncommon when that unit of electricity is purchased for around £0.06 in bulk.

Even allowing a significant margin for charging and billing that is a rip-off.
