| Dear Ms Jackson My mother is a little perplexed as to why she was not notified of her neighbour’s (2 Denbigh Road) planning application. My mother’s home (at 100 Gordon Road) directly adjoins the property at 2 Denbigh Road. She did not receive any letter notifying of the planning application (which I understand is now the practice within the borough). Given that Ealing does not send such notification letters anymore it seems inexcusable that Notices were not placed on the lampposts in front of the properties that adjoin 2 Denbigh Road on Gordon Road. As has been already commented, my mother is a septuagenerian with a disability who has lived on Gordon Road for nearly 40 years. I would be obliged if you could explain how the Council’s conduct in this matter complies with the Equality Act 2010. It seems that the way that this policy has been applied either deliberately or inadvertently discriminates against those with mobility issues. Please can you confirm the deadline that my mother now has to send her observations in on this planning application. Kind Regards Hogarth Andall |
