| There are two aspects to this. 1. Personal responsibility again: I've got a 4-wheel drive (medium-size but quattro, not a big truck), and have ordered winter tyres (for next year as well as this) - have you? 2. If this is one of those anti-car things, the fact is, it's not just private cars (boo, hiss, etc., etc., I know) but also buses, delivery vans, etc. I work in an essential job and I have to get to work. Tesco's needs to be restocked. "Stay at home" isn't the easy way out. Key roads must be gritted, and if supplies are short, that means not gritting the pavements, which brings us back to the start of this thread. |
