| Please read my suggestions on the front page, as Penny suggests. Controlled parking is here to stay and its viral spread needs tackling head on. The problem stems from commuter parking and to control it a whole private business has grown up, along with the tiny, idiotic CPZ areas. (An official stated at a recent meeting that out of the £millions collected last year, the Council net income was only £8,000!) So I propose standardising the controls and minimising the administration costs, the confusion, the loss of freedom to move around the loss of personal income. I lost £150 in 3 fines in the last 12 months. I am neither a selfish nor reckless driver! |
