Let's have a proper look at the facts behind the matter and see for yourself why Ealing Council made the decision to initiate the change. https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201178/parking/3479/proposed_stop_and_shop I can't find the link to the revenue document and I am not going to bother searching for it. The fact of the matter is that the council produced a policy to increase the turnover of available parking bays, and to helpfully allow people to stay longer in the same parking bay without having to move their vehicle. If as a consequence of this they receive extra revenue from a fairer parking system then so what? You will discover that the fact of the matter is that, yet again, Simon claims his opinions to be facts. He can never provide any evidence that supports the assertion. My advice to readers is to stop reading any comment from Simon in which he claims something to be a fact. Is it not also odd that the motorists who complain the most about parking charges are those that are most able to buy a parking ticket? They are most likely seen driving higher valued cars and drive more frequently.
