Presumably the stats you are looking at are the latest weekly figures for infections. Elthorne Park does have a high rate but it is an outlier and is probably down to an outbreak at one of the local schools. I wouldn't be unduly concerned about it unless it remains persistently high for a few weeks. The latest numbers for London show cases for younger people are rocketing particularly the under 14s who won't have been vaccinated but are falling for those over 60 who will have been. The strategy that the government is pursuing may actually work. The price has been a higher number of excess deaths than the rest of Europe but, at this stage we may be protected from a winter spike by high levels of immunity. |
