Agreed  but I think the Evening Standard may be being a bit alarmist. London has had far lower apparent vaccination rates than the rest of the country but recently has also had much lower infection rates. Most people who have looked at this in detail believe this may be down to the more transient nature of the population and the high rate of non-vaccination is because of people moving away but still being registered with GPs. For instance in Ealing a large number of Polish citizens may now be back in Poland and have been vaccinated there. If you factor that out you may find that we have relatively high vaccination rates compared to the UK average.
