The early research suggests the highest level of vaccine hesitancy is among black Caribbean communities followed by Bangladeshis but I don't think the representation of either of those groups is significantly above the London average in Ealing. For other ethnic groups the vaccination levels are much closer to the average. If vaccine hesitancy was the main reason for low vaccination rates then you would also expect high infection rates. Nobody is saying transience explains the whole problem but, as far as I can see, there is no other good reason why London has apparently low vaccination rates and low infection rates. Everywhere else there is a strong correlation between vaccination levels and infection. |
