>Cyclists no road tax or excise duty, There is no such thing as road tax. Vehicle Excise duty is a charge for polluting in public. Why would a bicycle be subject to it, some cars aren't! >Insurance, pretty rare if ever. People aren't mandated to get specific insurance for using a cycle, but they are when using a car. I, and many others DO have insurance, for a start most people are covered by their home insurance provider's public liability insurance, which specifically excludes cover when using things like cars and boats, for which you have to get specific insurances. I DO have specific insurance for when I cycle, it's like £50 a year which indicates the risk people on bikes pose to others compared to people driving or riding motor vehicles. >Immune from jumping lights, Nonsense, I've seen a fair few people giving tickets in my time for doing this. >speeding Speed limits only apply to motor vehicles >parking Ha ha, if car drivers had to pay the going rate per square foot for storing their vehicle in public... >in fact any traffic infringement. Tripe. I'm sure we've been through all this before with each other! |
