A case of dodgy analysis of statistics. If you look at the report, it defines the LTN area as roads more than 25 metres within the LTN boundary and the LTN boundary areas as road within 25 metres of a LTN boundary roads ie, roads both inside and outside the LTN area. The report gives no reason for defining the areas like this. Common sense would say one should look at the whole LTN area separate from the area outside it. This type of arbitrary defining of the boundaries looks like someone trying to get the result they decided they wanted before starting the study. |
