By telling us something is a fact doesn't mean it is a fact. To compare we would need to start with a level playing field and I'm not sure we are. There is something odd about your placing of Hillingdon above Ealing in the league tables for recycling because last time I looked Ealing was 100 places higher. Not that I believe too much in them anyway. My personal aim has always been to make as little waste as possible and to recycle as much of that as I possibly can. When the garden waste collection started the recycling rate went up but home composting went down. I've always felt that providing wheelie bins was designed to please the landlords who didn't provide free bins for their heavily populated rented houses as they've stolen the pride beauty and greenery from many small gardens further encouraging the concrete which spoils them. |
