| There's a lot to be said for local councils taking work back in house so they can manage the service directly and more flexibly than with a private contract. Bearing in mind the collapse of Carillion, many private companies under bid to get the contract and then can't deliver to the required standard. And, as council employees, the workers should transfer across to better pay and conditions than with a private company, such as London Living wage and a proper pension. |
