Unfortunately car parks are a necessity in a shopping area. To extend Eric's point about West Ealing, not only will the multi-storey one be demolished but it is planned that the two nearby surface car parks will also be built on in the rebuild of the Green Man Estate. Further, in the LDF Sites document the two other West Ealing car parks (above Sainsbury and in Leeland Road) are listed as development sites to carry more housing. Many people responded in the LDF Consultation, showing concern about these and other sites in the document. To date no one appears to even have received acknowledgement of their inputs, much less any more information about these sites. Meanwhile, our Regeneration Team is soon off to the Mipim Real Estate and Property International Fair in Cannes, presumably to try to interest speculators in buying these and other sites in the document from their owners. Yet there has not even been a report from the Consultation on these sites. Great isn't it?
