THe simplest method of funding the Freedom Pass would be to charge £2 per journey for each unfolded pushchair. The damned things often take up more space than two adults. This charge to apply to all pushchairs whether in the charge of a 14 year old mother or a 90 year old granddad. This has nothing to do with human rights; pushchairs aren't human. Of course if excess revenue were raised some of the funds could be used to provide escalator/lift services at Greenford station. Perhaps the charge should be applied to the Underground as well. |
