It's not actually a question of hating Ealing.

It's a question of challenging changes which will be detrimental to Ealing, from the short term through to the long term.

The Ealing Broadway Centre was a bold construction which was a great improvement on the original structures in that area, yet it isn't high-rise.

If a low-rise development such as the ABC cinema has stalled what chance is there for a completed very high-rise development?

I am reminded of the construction a  metal tower* to rival that in Paris. It was in Wembley. It was completed to the first stage then the money ran out and it was demolished. The land was sold and a football ground made on the site.
