A rather simplistic analysis from Ben, but then one expects that. It’s more to do with who is using taxis and why. It’s not active travel and it’s a cost that could be avoided. The true figure is likely to be significantly higher as not everything has been disclosed. Oh, and FoI requests don’t cost newspapers or other media outlets anything. It’s a standard journalism practice. Even the BBC and Guardian do it. Anyway, Mason, Clement and chums are off for a jolly in Leeds tomorrow, a property ‘forum’ where they will be hawking Ealing to the avaricious developers who really aren’t solving the housing crisis. £525 plus VAT per ticket, plus hotel and meal expenses, and I bet they aren’t cycling there! |
