£30,000 on taxis over 3 years? Let's break this down:- £30,000 divided by 3 = £10,000 per year £10,000 per year divided by 12 = £833.33 per month £833.33 a month divided by 30 (an average month) = £27.78 To be more precise £30,000 divided by 1,095 days [365 days multiply by 3] = £27.40 per day. That's truly riveting. How much did the awful, ghastly and utterly revolting Times newspaper spend to get that information? The fact that they wanted to waste their time and money says a lot about the quality of the paper today. It is not even a broadsheet anymore, nor has it the integrity it once had when it was owned by Lord Thomson. £27.40 a day. What is that as a percentage of all residents' council tax? Anyway, I have learned something new. Until today I didn't know that 30,000 divided by 1,095 equals 27.40. I do now and I will never forget that figure either! |
