This proposal apart from being discriminatory against those who do not have access to a phone or smartphone or cannot use one. Lets remember also that Police and Govt advice is to not stand in a street with your phone in your hand, as it makes you a target. it happens to people of all ages but the physical risk for those of older age or lesser agility is far greater. It is once again callous and ageist and the rationale from LBE is simply bizarre. How is this "Easier" in rain in wind in the dat in bright sunlight? It can only come from some numpties who have had a device fuse to their hand since birth. Of course the real reason - which LBE remain silent on is the access to data which they can sell to data organisations and /or use for creating statistics which will no doubt be used for another raft of controlling policies. Like it's other flawed methods this will be able to ascertain vehicular movements and like them to home addresses. But like other means it will not know circumstances of any sort. More assumptions and the same failed end results. Plus they will be able to fine just moments after 30 mins expire and again irrespective of circumstance which at least human traffic wardens can, when present weigh up. One heck of an insidious proposal and again, just like the Lammas debacle underhand and bereft of truth and actual fact. |
