The Bicycle Association has just announced that the volume of UK bicycle sales in 2023 was at its lowest level since 1985. Halfords stated that its bicyle sales were down by almost a third.

The £8.6 million LiveWestEaling (LWE) project, launched four years ago, has still to get off the ground. LWE is run by the cycling charity Sustrans. So it's no surprise that most of TfL's money is aimed at supporting the apparently declining number of cyclists.
