| Car sales are also down significantly since 2019 (see here: https://www.smmt.co.uk/vehicle-data/car-registrations/). Cars are expensive and people are feeling the pinch but bikes aren't cheap either. It's difficult to explain but part of it is people not leaving their homes, as virtually everything can be done by home delivery. One of the unintended consequences of Covid lockdown is turning people into hermits. |
