| There is a report on ActonW3.com about a date being set for the reopening of the Stirling Road tip in South Acton. Frustratingly, what remains unclear is if you will be allowed to bring household and garden waste here for disposal or if it is just for reuse i.e. textiles and electronics. The Lib Dems seem to think that the council is reluctant to confirm that the site will offer the same services as before to cover up the catastophic error of selling it off. I hope they are right because very few people are going to drive to the centre just to get a few socks darned or an old radio fixed. |
