| Reading the article again I don’t see how the scheme will do much to increase recycling rates. Nobody is going to make a special trip to Greenford to take a bag of this waste, and just think of the carbon footprint of all those vehicles doing so! Perhaps our resident eco-warrior and recycling guru Philippa Bond could do a weekly collection on her bike and drop them off for us? I suspect this will be another much heralded green schemes that gets quietly dropped in six months. Rather like the litter picking in the parks. |
