| Deirdre isn’t blessed in the intellectual department, but she ticks a lot of boxes for the on-message left. The irony of selling off Acton recycling centre is that they’ve built a storage facility in the site, to which people will regularly drive. Of course, being so hard up the council had no option but to sell off this asset. They need to fund those big increases in allowances somehow. |
