Covid 19 has, thus far, around 1.7 times the fatality rate of seasonal flu in an 'average' season but less than one third of the fatality rate of seasonal flu in a 'virulent' season, the last of which in the UK was 2013/2014 when 10693 deaths were attributed to the effects of seasonal flu.


SARS on the other hand had a confirmed fatality rate of 10%


Covid-19 is no SARS and the hysteria being created is therefore not warranted.
