Guardian today reports there are plans to share a number of key services between Westminster Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea councils and they are set to generate savings of £35m a year by 2014.

I see that back in 2009 a new Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract - to drive significant savings negotiations and a high quality service throughout the corporate estate was set up April 2009 by the Ealing Business Directorate.

Judging by what we see in the £500 listings I form the impression that in conjunction with a Partnership Board (Council seniors and cabinet people) this may be a toothless Council talking shop.

In Councillor Bell's next Press pronouncement he needs to tell us what big initiatives he is taking to save money on contract expenditure.
